  • Version 1.0

    Silverlight 3

    Click to download

This includes the original source code for the coding scenarios EXACLY like it is in the published book targeting Visual Studio 2008, Silverlight 3 and the Summer 2009 release of the Silverlight Control Toolkit. I decided to keep this version exaclty the same because I did not want to confuse anyone with changes when trying to follow along with the book. It is recommended you download the latest version.
  • Version 2.0

    Silverlight 3

    Click to download

This includes the original source code for the coding scenarios and examples targeting Visual Studio 2008, Silverlight 3 and the Summer 2009 release of the Silverlight Control Toolkit. Additional fixes are included below in the changelog.

      1) Source code includes a "bonus code" folder that includes demos and examples not covered in step-by-step coding scenarios. Over 30 projects are included! I received several e-mails asking about the sparklines, Sales Forecast Demo, etc., so I decided to just add this to the source code.

      2) Chapter 5 - Using Geographic Visualizations. In the book, I mention that I use a pre-release version of the control. The "Bing Maps Silverlight control" had a v1 released in 12/2009. This is an updated control since the book was published. The control has new APIs, DLL and a resource key that you need to sign up for. You can get it FREE at: https://www.bingmapsportal.com/. The source code in version 2.0 uses the updated assembly and APIs; therefore, the code is different from what was published in the book.
